Meteor Crater of Arizona – 60 stories deep and 4,150 feet in diameter.  Diamonds were formed instantly upon collision.

They say this meteor impact may be related to the extinction of the dinosaurs.  Well, maybe.  But it seems a little unlikely that they all would have been standing in this one spot, don’t you think?  This place gets my vote for The Most Prospective Landfill Site of the Year Award.
